Kodimagnyl Cold Water Extraction Guide
Thu Nov 13 2025
Reason Why
Kodimagnyl has 500 mg aspirin for each pill. Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that can cause stomach irritation and ulcers. By using cold water extraction, we can separate the aspirin from the codeine. This allows us to extract the codeine without the risk of stomach irritation or ulcers.
Gotta love getting hit with the flu aswell as Aspirin poisoning because some government regulations decided to mix NSAIDs with codeine and ban codeine as a single product from the OTC market. Seriously, it’s so stupid. I even followed the medical dosage instructions and took 20 mg omeprazol as well just in case to protect my stomach, yet i still puked up coffee ground vomit! Make codeine by itself available OTC and keep nasal sprays OTC as well. We can’t have anything nice in this world, without stupid people ruining it. Governments all over the world, please stop trying to control what people put in their bodies. What’s next, banning coffee? I don’t know man, it’s so silly. Anyways enough rant, let’s get to the actual guide kekw
Prerequisites
- Kodimagnyl: for the sake of this guide, we’re doing a 20-pill package.
- Coffee filters
How Much Codeine Will I Get?
For a 20-pill package, there’s 9.6 mg of codeine for every pill. 9.6 mg * 20 pills = 192 mg of codeine phosphate. The yield loss on CWE with codeine is usually 20% more or less, so 192 mg * 0.8 = 153.6 mg of codeine phosphate. Then we do some conversions from codeine phosphate to freebase codeine: 0.736 (the conversion ratio) * 153.6 mg = 113 mg of freebase codeine.
Preparation
Put all the pills you’re gonna use in a container/cup. Do not crush the pills, since you don’t save a whole lot of time on it, you can potentially lose 10% more of your codeine and it’s not as easy to see if the pills have been fully dissolved in the water, so no point in doing it.
Here we come to the dissolving part.
Put in cold water, keep everything under 10 C, it should be ideally 4-6 C due to the aspirin.
Add exactly 40 mL ice-cold distilled water (2 mL per tablet is the sweet spot).
Simply stir it for 15 min, when it’s milky and there’s no hard pills left (fully dissolved), it should be ready to get in the freezer.
Freezing
Do not put it in the freezer where you need to shake or knock to get it out of the freezer, because it ruins your filtering process.
While it’s freezing and you’re 15 min in (our solution needs to be in the freezer for a solid 30 min), you’re gonna need to setup your filtering process.
Filtering
Use a double coffee filter paper, wet them down and fold it like this over your filter cup:
Set up another glass with a double coffee filter (depending on how much water you’re filtering)
When the solution has been in the freezer for 30 min, take it out and pour the solution into the filter cup. This can take a little while.
Check if the end result is a cloudy solution. Codeine is completely transparent and looks exactly like water (there will still be a little binding agent left, but barely any enough for you to notice at a great distance), however NSAID’s look cloudy! NEVER drink a cloudy solution.
